A QR keychain that returns lost keys — privately

A MyTags QR code keychain gives your keys a way to reach you — without a single private detail printed on it. A finder scans the code, sends you a message, and your name, address, email and phone stay hidden the whole time. No locksmith, no lost afternoon.

  • No number on the tag
  • Free to start
  • Finder needs no app
  • Not a Bluetooth tracker

Why tag your keys

Lost keys mean a locksmith and a bad day

A dropped keyring is one of the most expensive small losses there is. You wait for a locksmith, pay to re-cut a set, and sometimes change the locks entirely — all because there was no safe way for the person who found them to reach you. Writing your number on a keyring fixes the return but hands your contact details to every stranger who picks the keys up. A QR key tag closes that gap.

A finder scans and messages you

Whoever finds your keys points a phone camera at the code. Your tag opens in a browser with a message box, and you get an alert the instant they write. Most honest finders want to help — this gives them a way that takes seconds.

Nothing personal on the tag

A written address on a keyring tells a stranger where your house is and that its key is in their hand. A MyTags tag carries only the code — no name, no number, nothing to read. The link is private by design.

No locksmith, no re-cut set

A quick scan turns a two-day, several-hundred problem into a short message and a hand-back. Keys reunited, locks untouched, and your day back on track.

QR vs Bluetooth

Safer for keys and a wallet than a tracker

A Bluetooth or GPS tracker on your keys can help you find them across the house — but the same signal can be used to follow the person carrying them. A passive QR keychain avoids that trade-off entirely. It has nothing to broadcast and nothing to charge.

It cannot be used to stalk you

A QR tag reports no location and no movement. Unlike a Bluetooth tracker, it cannot be slipped into a bag to track where you go — a real safety win for keys, a wallet or a purse you carry everywhere.

No battery, ever

There is nothing to charge, nothing to pair and nothing to replace. The tag works on the day you print it and it will still work years later, sitting silent on your ring until someone scans it.

Nothing is broadcast

A tracker constantly announces itself to nearby phones. A QR code leaks no signal and no device ID. It stays quiet, and it speaks only when a person chooses to point a camera at it.

Everyday carry

One tag for keys, wallet and more

The things that leave the house on you every day are the ones most likely to go missing. Start with a free digital tag on the keyring, then add one to whatever else you would hate to lose.

House & car keys

Keyring

The set you cannot replace in an afternoon. A tag on the ring turns a dropped keyring into a message in your pocket, instead of a locksmith call and a new set of keys.

Everyday carry

Wallet

Cards, cash and ID all live in one slim thing that slips out of a pocket easily. A discreet QR tag inside lets an honest finder reach you before anything is cancelled.

Handbag

Purse

A purse left on a cafe chair or a train seat has your whole day inside it. A scannable tag on the strap gets it back to you fast, with nothing personal on show.

On your face

Sunglasses

Prescription or premium, sunglasses are easy to leave behind and awkward to trace. Tag the case so a finder can message you the instant they spot them.

At the gym

Locker & fob

Locker keys, access fobs and gym cards go astray between the bag, the bench and the car park. One tag lets staff or a fellow member reach you without a lost-property queue.

Built to last

Weatherproof tags

For a set that lives on a car key in all weather, premium tags in the shop are tear-resistant and hard-wearing — the same private platform behind them.

How it works

Tag your keys in three steps

No hardware to order and no battery to charge. See the full walkthrough.

01

Create a digital tag

Make a digital QR tag in the app — free and live at once. Print it on a small label, or add it to a durable tag from the shop.

02

Loop it on the ring

Attach it to the keyring or slip it into your wallet. Any phone camera can open it — no app and no signup for whoever finds your keys.

03

Get the message

When someone scans it, a push and email land instantly. Reply through MyTags to arrange the hand-back — your contact details stay private throughout.

Questions

QR keychains, answered

Does a QR code keychain show my phone number or address?

No. Nothing personal is printed on the tag. A finder sees only that these are your keys and a box to message you. Your phone number, name, email and home address never appear — every message relays through MyTags, in both directions.

Does the finder need an app to return my keys?

No. Any phone camera opens the tag in a browser — no app to download and no account to create. Whoever picks up your keychain can scan it and message you in seconds, then hand the keys back or leave them somewhere safe.

Is the QR keychain free, or do I have to buy one?

A digital tag is free and live the instant you create it. Print it on a small label and loop it onto the ring you already carry. If you want something tougher, weatherproof and premium travel tags are available in the shop — but they are optional, not required.

Can a QR keychain track me like an AirTag or Bluetooth tracker?

No, and that is the point. A MyTags keychain is a passive QR code — no battery, no radio, nothing to charge or pair. It reports no location and cannot be planted to follow you home. It speaks only when a person chooses to scan it.

What can I put a QR keychain tag on besides keys?

Anything small that goes missing — your wallet, a purse, sunglasses, a gym locker key, an access fob or a laptop bag. One private relay covers them all, so a finder can reach you without seeing a single personal detail.

What happens the moment someone scans my keys?

You get a push notification and an email straight away. You can also route alerts to WhatsApp, Slack or a webhook. Reply through MyTags to arrange the pickup — your contact details stay hidden the whole time.
