The rules
Your reg number belongs on the drone — your phone number does not
Many aviation authorities, such as the FAA and CAA, require a visible registration number on your drone so it can be identified. Displaying that number is on you — always check the marking rules where you fly. What the rules do not ask for is your personal phone number. Yet a lot of pilots add one anyway, so an honest finder can return a lost aircraft. A QR code lets you keep the return path without printing a single private detail.
